is a beautiful antique Ansonia oak cased parlor/mantel clock in excellent working condition. The Bale (label on reverse), approx 90% intact, reads "media awarded Rare...." KIRKWOOD, eight day strike, with the Ansonia hallmark and "factories in Ansonia Conn. and Brooklyn, N. Y." . This dates the clock precisely to 1879-1883 during their factory transition from Ansonia, Conn., to New York. It appears to have all original parts with key, pendulum, dial, hands, and hallmarks on the dial, bale, and metal plate behind striker spring. Strikes are standard on the hour and half hour. It measures 22 1/2" tall with a 5" X 14 1/2" base. I can find no chips, cracks or other flaws in the oak casing. Also included is a very attractive matching solid wall shelf as shown in main picture. Please excuse any flash/glare on pictures...they are not flaws. I am listing with a low starting bid and very reasonable reserve for this antique of $99.95. Thanks for looking and good luck...email questions welcome.
