This venerable old English grocer's scale, in spite of many decades of faithful service, is remarkably still in working order, although its accuracy may no longer match that of a modern digital scale. But then, the newer model will never have the charm of this one, nor will it look good holding flowers, and so, not to make a pun, things do balance out, don't they. This one is made of brass, iron, and sheet metal, and the pan has acquired a bit of surface rust (for which t is no additional charge), and which can be remedied if the owner should prefer. But either way, it's rather smashing, especially in the right setting. It measures 34 inches (86 cms) top to bottom, and 16 inches (40.6 cms) wide across the pan. Perfect for your cottage or a Provence kitchen! This was a purchase we made in Devon, England. It graced a corner of the kitchen of our 465 year old thatched cottage. It has significant memories for both of us. We can't find a place for it in a US ranch style home, and so we are hoping you will fall in love with it, and give it a good home!
