Antique Wrought Iron Lantern An unusual and interesting wrought iron hanging lantern, it is 5 sided with one side door opening, it is constructed from hand forged wrought iron, riveted and copper brazed, the fancy 'leaves' of thin sheet metal appear to have been tinned but this is quite dull now. The age is for you to decide but its construction and style would seem to indicate it could be late medieval right through to Arts and Crafts. Made presumably by a Blacksmith being all hand worked It is sound all around with a surface coating of rust but would clean up as you wish - it has been converted to electric with a hole drilled in the top collar but this is barely visible and a later chain added Stands 14.5" / 37cm tall excluding chain I will ship anywhere in the world so long as the buyer bears the cost, airmail to USA would be about £27.00 but this may increase subject to the final selling price (anything above £50.00 in value has to have additional insurance added, somwhere around £5 to £10 - Surface mail to USA about £10.00 - I will get accurate prices upon request
