Rare framed set of early Boy Scout felt badges plus other items, dating back to the First World War or just before, these have been in this frame for almost all their life, the back ground baize is bleached due to exposure to sunlight as can be seem in the many images, having said that the badges retain plenty of richness of their original colours. The badges are pinned in place on the board. Easily removable if desired. They consist of 14 felt cloth Proficiency badges, also a 1914 British Scouts - War Service 1914-1918 Scout felt strip badge given for a minimum of 28 days service of 3 hours per day, (which helps date the rest of the badges) King’s Scout badge, Cooks badge, Membership badges, Cyclist badge, Bee keeper badge, Fire-fighter badge, Guide badge, Signalling or Semaphore, a pair of white metal shoulder Troop numbers / letters= 1 W’s, 2 sets of Ribbons – first Red on Front - Rover Crew (17+ age group)- second Yellow on Front Patrol ribbon , a pair of green and yellow Scout Cords, a pair of woven cloth Sergeants Stripes white bar’s on a black felt backing. A brass yellow and green enamelled Year badge, In all a really rare set of WW1 period Boy Scout badges, separated the may make more money but I want them to stay together after all these years as one lot.
