This is exactly the way you want to find these....no dents in the case, and working. All original WWI BRASS U.S.C.E. Military Compass made by TAYLOR. (for the U.S. Engineering Corp) This one is about as clean as they get, just a beautiful dial, and the case has it's original patina. T were a few company's that had Government Contracts to make WWI pocket compasses. TAYLOR was among them, and made 3 models. The LEEDAWL in 1917, the USANITE in 1918 and the U.S.C.E. (this model) which was made in a NICKEL CASE and, a bit rarer, the BRASS CASE. This is the BRASS CASE, beautiful condition. These were ONLY marked with the U.S.C.E. on the back of the hunters case, and TAYLOR on the dial. Everything about this one is near perfect, the compass opens and closes easily and nice and tight, the hinge is secure and strong. Inside is clean as can be. These Brass ones are tougher to find, and I am very pleased to have run across it!! We will package it very well, and it should be either 3 or 4 ounces to ship. (I'll try for 3 ounces, but will quote for 4 ounces, just to be safe!!) YOU WILL ONLY PAY ACTUAL COSTS FOUR OUNCES WOULD BE 1.73 USA, 2.01 CANADA 3.96 INTERNATIONAL (less if I can get it off for 3 oz.) THANK YOU To see my other items, simply click this link! other items
