WWI TRAMP ART CURIO CABINET/ 4 - SHELF ETAGERE WITH MANTEL CLOCK, MANTEL SHIP, & SPOON RACK One of our nice, repeat Sellers uncovered this treasure at an estate recently. The was the same estate w we received the items for some of our other recent ebay listings from a WWII soldier (such as the Iwo Jima and Invasion War Bonds posters and WWII Island take-overs photo albums). This collection has a vintage tag that reads with the information: "Captain Marshall, and while he lie in his bed and recuperating from a bullet wound near his heart during World War I (he hand-carved all of these beautiful pieces of Tramp Art). Is now a Major (Captain- written in pencil) in the Merchant Marines." Please see the photos of this tag and the later photo of Marshall after he came to America. -Carved by him Circa 1915 To 1920 -Exquisite detail -It was made in Belgium, and then brought overseas to America You are Bidding on one package that Consists of: 1. Curio Cabinet/Etagere - 4 shelves & 1 cabinet 2. Shelf Clock - it has a beautiful presence and face but we can not get the clock working- the clock works aren't all in t Notice that the 4 legs are actually carved Griffins. 3. Spoon Rack -T are two European Soldiers; it reads " C'est L'Empereur " 4. Multi-masted Ship with two smaller ships-one on each side, and sailors on board. It comes with a nice stand to hold it upright. This fine antique curio cabinet and accessories collection are in very good overall condition... Some pieces have cracking or chips missing which can be seen in the photos... PERFECT FOR ANY HOME OR OFFICE Dimensions: Curio Shelf/Cabinet is 63.5 in. tall 32.5 in. wide 12 in. deep Ship is 22 in. wide x 15.5 in tall Clock is 22 in. tall x 14 in. wide with a face diameter of 3.5 in. Spoon rack is 20 in. tall x 13 in wide Four total shelf surfaces: spacing between the shelves: bottom to top, 18, 13, and 13 in. As with all antiques, this item has some minor marks on it that have been noted that are commensurate with its age. T are some minor nicks, and scratches to the small pieces of carved trim; and it needs a good dusting/polishing or cleaning. Please recognize that in keeping with the age of this fine piece, they happen over the years from normal "wear and tear" and do not take away from its overall beauty or value.
