Up for auction is an awesome pith helmet made by Hawley. Unfortunately it does not have a unit crest or branch insignia it has an, Oliver "Finest in farm machinery" shield. I gues when everone started coming home and going back to the farms they needed something comfortable or "familiar". It is in great shape with no splitting or gouging in the paper all rivets are solid and the strap is still across the front as you can see in the pictures. T is no size inside but it has an adjustable drawstring at the rear of the headband, and 2 springs inside to keep it tight on the head. The paint is solid and as you can see t is wear to the shield but is still legible. If you have any questions please ask, otherwise thank you for looking and good luck!
