You are bidding on an antique WWII aluminum industrial steamer trunk. On the top and on the back of the trunk the stencil reads ”CU. FT12, WT. 150, NO 9 OF 9, FROM: LT.COL.H.B. MURNAN, YOKOHAMA ENGINEER DEPOT, APO 503, TO PORT TRANS OFF, SAN FRANCISCO P.O.F, SAN FRANCISCO. CALIF, FOR LT.COL. H.B. MURNAN, 4100 FULTAN SAN FRAN, CALIF, ACCOMP.H.BAGGAGE MORTON.” This trunk is 24”1/2 H X 39”1/4 W X 22”3/4 D. There is a tag reading “KowA Industry”. As you can see in the photos the trunk is in very good condition with n ormal wear consistent with age and it’s use, all which adds to the character of the piece. Also the people I bought this trunk from insured me that they have the original keys and that they will bring them to me when they have located them in storage (they are in the process of sorting through now). I can’t promise that they will indeed accomplish this but if and when they are in my hands you have my word that they will be mailed to you. This trunk will make a great coffee table, bench or a bar for any stlye décor. Should you have any questions please feel free to ask since all sales are final.
