This is a very, very nice old war era Imperial Japanese Navy rising sun flag. This flag is made of thick cotton, and constructed of 37 separate pieces. It's 38 pieces if you include the cord. The cotton cord has been cut off at the edge of the flag. Not a big deal, and it makes it easier to frame. The overall condition is fantastic, minor fade and a few loos stitches only. No holes. You can see by the photos it's a wonderful old flag. This is going to date from the 1930s to WWII era. It measures approx. 38.25 inches x 25.25 inches. It weighs approx. 199 grams, it's a heavy duty one. If you need an interesting rising sun flag for your collection or display, this will certainly work. It's absolutely guaranteed original.
