ITEM: Late WWII Imperial Japanese Naval dagger. This is not a reproduction . This is about as mint as you will ever find one, I guarantee. It is a latter war era one, the blade is not hand forged, but seems to be metal with a coat of silver paint to protect it from rust. I was told by an expert that I emailed photos to that the cherry blossoms on the handle were removed, but I cannot see that t is any sign at all that cherry blossoms were ever on the handle. The menuki peg is perfect and looks as if it has never been touched. I will give the winning bidder of this auction this person's website info so you know that what I say is the truth and I did not pick an expert from "fantasyland," but a real expert of Imperial Japanese Army & Navy weapons (and uniforms, medals, battle sites and much more). When in the sheath it measures a total of 16.25 inches. The blade alone is nearly 8.5 inches. Everything is nice and tight, no loose parts jiggling around. Again, this is about as mint as you will ever find. T is one small paint chip near the tip, other than that...Perfect! I will only send this item by EMS delivery, which is trackable online, insured and has a quick delivery to the buyer. EMS delivery to the USA is $16.20. EMS delivery to Europe is $18.70. Sending inside Japan is $7.00. All other places inquire.
