VERY NICE Antique (~Late 1800s) YELLOWWARE BOWL 10-1/2 inches diameter in Excellent Condition with 3 alternating thickness WHITE BANDS. The upper rim is not glazed, nor is the underside of the outside upper heavy rib, but bottom is. This bowl is unmarked, and was obviously hand thrown a long time ago. It shows very little wear or crazing. T are two things worth mentioning, both shown in photos with pointers. T is a surface hairline crack on the upper outside lip which does not cross to the inside, even on the unglazed under lip, so it is probably simply a heavy craze line in the glaze. And several inches to the counterclockwise on the upper inner lip is a heavy craze line that am not able to feel with a fingernail; it extends downwards about 2-1/2 inches & also does not show on the outside or underside of the rim. The bowl opening is about 10-1/2 inches in diameter, the base is 5-3/4 inches in diameter, the rim just under 1-1/2 inches wide, and the bowl stands 5-1/2 inches tall. It's measured weight is 3# 13.5 oz, and will ship double-boxed & as close to cost as possible. Domestic cost is in the 6-7# range; insurance is included in the shipping quote. International will be by air parcel post, which includes insurance. This would be a really wonderful addition to any collection.
