is another marvelous pair of early 19thc Guillouche & Bronze Opera Glasses. Hallmarked "Abraham & Co. Liverpool" these date from 1817 to 1875. They are done with the same fine techniques, used by Faberge. They measure 4 1/4"wide, by 1 7/8" round, with1 1/4" round eyepiece. They are 3" high closed position, and 3 3/4" high fully opened. Mother-of-Pearl accents the eyepiece and the casing is done with guillouche enamel. A lovely shade of blue edges the top and bottom area of the casing. Delicate bouquets of pink and purple flower with green leaf, are centered on a white background in each of the oval designs. The rim of each oval is also accented with the same flowers. Between each oval you will see a delicate pink bow. Marvelous raised gilt scroll and bead design, accents the top and bottom. The extender wheel is in excellent condition, raising and lowering perfectly. Museum quality, and in almost pristine condition. These just need a little cleaning and that we will leave to the winner! T are a few small nicks on the M.O.P., otherwise these are perfect. What a wonderful pair of Victorian Opera Glasses to add to your collection or for actual use.
