AN EXCEPTIONAL PRIEST CHAPLET. I HAVE NEVER SEEN ONE LIKE IT BEFORE. IT BELONGED TO FATHER JEROME HARDIN WHO HAS BEEN RETIRED FOR TEN YEARS. HE SAID HE HAD FORGOTTEN HE HAD IT. HE IS 81 YEARS YOUNG AND IS IN THE PROCESS OF MOVING TO ANOTHER RETIREMENT HOME. LIKE MANY OF THE CLERGY HE HAS NO RETIREMENT INCOME SO THEY DEPEND ON CONTRIBUTIONS AND FAMILY. THIS CHAPLET HAS TEN SMALL SKULL BEADS( MEMENTO MORI0) A REMINDER OF THEIR OWN MORTALITY. THE CRUCIFIX 2 1/2 TALL IS BRASS WITH A SILVER WASH. THE CHAIN IS BRASS ALSO WITH SMALL RECTANGLE LINKS. THE SKULLS ARE HAND CARVED, SMALL WITH AN NICE PETINA, EACH IS A LITTLE DIFFERENT. THE TOTAL LENGTH IS 9 1/2". INCLUDED IS A VELVET LINED CASE.
