This is such a beautiful Victorian oil on board picture. It has been signed by Antoni Ditlef. On right bottom is T.M. co. I read that this co. went out of business in 50's or 60's. The picture is titled "Interlude". The frame is wood with gesso. Gesso is missing on left upper & lower corners, but in a very small amount. This can easily be repaired if you want. I use a soft wood filler and dental tools or whatever is needed to carve filler. After touched up with paint it is not noticable. When such minor pieces are missing I don't usually do any repairing as it just adds to vintage look. The frame size is 22 1/2" x 19 1/2". The inner frame size is 15 1/4" x 12 1/4". The original backing is on the picture. The Beautiful blonde lady is dressed in a pink (my favorite color) outer gown with white lace flounces & the dapper dressed gentleman in his vest & stirrup pants is being so attentive. Their are wonderful deep pink roses on the grand piano. The picture is in great condition.
