These superb earrings were created by the Taxco Silver Master Antonio Pineda and are a very fine example of his superior craftmanship and fine design. They are done in his signature 970 silver, a higher grade than the commonly used 925, which he prefered for it's rich warm look. Shaped like long concave tear-drops with the ends designed to curve underneath your earlobe, they have a very Art Deco or Art Moderne feel and a timeless elegance. They measure 1 3/4" long and 7/16" at the widest. Hallmarked with the Antonio Taxco Crown mark on one earring and 970 along with the eagle stamp on the other, they are in good vintage condition with a lovely patina and the screw back function properly. A absolutely stunning pair of earrings by one of the most sought after Masters of Mexican Silver Jewelry.
