You are bidding an an old violin, it's case and bow. This was purchased at an estate sale. The case is covered in a black pebbly material and lined with green felt like material. This is in fairly good condition. Some of the green material is coming loose from the edges and t is some discoloration in the metal parts. Still shuts tight and holds. On the latches it says The Eagle Lock Company Terryville Conn Made in U.S.A. The bow has no string on it. It has an oblong mother of pearl inset, and a round one on each side of it. You can see the letters MANY coming out from under the wide part on the wood. Probably says Germany. The violin has a paper sticker inside that says made In Germany US Zone, and written is Copy of Antonius Stradivarius faciebat Cremona 1713 Made in Western Germany. T are some surface scrapes and scratches in the wood. Nothing major. No cracks or chips. The part that holds the strings is not attached to the violin. T is a black wood pin that fits into the end, but nothing to hold the part down. T are two metal string holders?, and places for two more. T is some metal strings wound up on the Black wood tightener things on the neck. The color of the body and curled end is a reddish brown. The neck is a lighter color with lines/grain thru it.
