INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS : PAYPAL ONLY ~ DUE WITH IN 48 HOURS OF AUCTION CLOSE! BEAUTIFUL VERY OLD SETH THOMAS WEIGHT DRIVEN CLOCK! And yes, we have a face for it...we will get to that later! Lovely old Seth Thomas weight driven clock with brass works. Very nice piece in all original condition we think (not our area of expertise) with the exception of the face. Nice poppy floral motif on the front..and if you want a spare door for it, we do have one listed in our store..be sure to look in. We do have a bit of erosion to the reverse painted flowers as you can see, but the outline is clearly t and restorable. Glass is good, and we have no chips, cracks or mars. The all wood case has columns in front on each side of the door. Inside, we have the original Seth Thomas label indicated that this is a brass clock that is "warranted good" made in Plymouth Hollow, Conn .! It does go on to talk about maintaining the clock, but I do not see any reference as to if this is a 30 hour clock or 8 day . Perhaps you can tell by looking at the works. The pendulum is all original and does swing and move the gears, however, it does not seem to want to run for more than a minute or so. I am not sure we have it strung correctly, plus it has been in storage for a very long time and could use cleaning and adjustment upon arrival. Original weights hang well on the string. Works are marked Seth Thomas . Back side shows no sign of any alterations to the piece from it's original state. We have the original hands , original key , even the little shim that holds the hands on. What we don't have is an original face . We do have a "new" metal face, or paper face from which you can construct a new face. We have pictured them below...just tell us which one you would like to have. Measures in at 25" tall , 15" wide and 4 & 1/2" deep . Truly a piece of time keeping history from Seth Thomas , and early American clock making! Ask questions if you have them...will be carefully packed and shipped promptly upon confirmation of your payment. International Bidders : Your payment is due within 48 hours of auction close via Paypal only. Payment by any other method will be considered non-payment. Our apologies, but our banks are charging for clearing international money orders. USA Bidders : Your payment is due within 7 days from auction close via Paypal, or personal check/money order. No Cows, No Chickens...please use the checkout system with ebay to advise us of your payment intention at the close of the auction. Insurance is recommended , and not included in the shipping calculator quote. Please do not anticipate that we will "make good" any item damaged by the USPS or UPS systems due to mishandling. If you do obtain insurance, and have a claim, we will provide you with the proper paperwork, but you must proceed from your end with the claim. You may be asked to provide the original box and contents to the USPS or UPS prior to their processing the claim. Failure to do so will nullify their requirement to reimburse you for your loss. Additional Packaging Requests : Lately we have received a few requests to " double box " our items. While we take great care to pack our items normally, we do not generally double box . To do so adds to the weight and expense for shipping. Please be aware that if you make this request, you must do so prior to paying as your invoice must be adjusted to accommodate the additional shipping weight. Do not wait until paying to include a "note" with your payment, as we may then be unable to comply with your request. Please note: As an ebay seller we are very aware and sensitive to buyer frustration with the new expense of the Postal Service increase. We care about your item! We pack carefully, as if it will be our own and take great care. For this, we incur substantial packing costs associated with it being delivered properly to you. As much as we so appreciate our clients, new and old, please do not bid and buy from us if you intend to leave negative ratings in feedback for the costs of shipping care...
