I have up for auction an original piece of Apache history. This is a great rawhide bow case/quiver that is trimmed with red trade cloth and has fringe hanging from the bottom. It has some type of triangle design sewn into the top rim and fringe hanging off the side that has a saw teeth design around the trim. This type of design was very common in the Apache tribe around the 1800's. The strap has been broken long ago and it is sewn with what seems to be some type of plant fiber. The bow case seems to have been covered in red ocher paint at one time. I received this piece several years ago in a large Native American collection I purchased. The bow case is 24 inches long including fringe. This piece is a great collectors item and very very rare. I have never seen a bow case like this that has not been in a collection book. Bid with confidence and feel free to ask any questions.
