Apollo 12. A pollo 12 was the sixth manned mission in the Apollo program and the second to land on the Moon. The crew consisted of astronauts Charles âeoePeteâe Conrad (1930-1999) Commander, Richard Gordon (1929- ) Command module pilot and Alan Bean (1932- ) Lunar module pilot. In November 1969, Pete Conrad and Bean made the second moon landing in history in their Apollo 12 Lunar Module "Intrepid", while their crewmate Dick Gordon orbited the moon in Apollo 12's Command Module "Yankee Clipper". Apollo 12 prime recovery ship postal cover with a cachet honoring the Apollo 12 recovery, signed Gordon, Bean, and Conrad, and also signed by four members of the Hornetâe(tm)s recovery fleet officers.
