Up for auction is a vintage original Apollo Spacecraft News Reference issued by Grumman Aircraft Engineering Corporation and Nasa. T were two different versions of the ASNR . One was issued for the Command/Service Modules. This is the Lunar Module version. Softbound with heavy cardstock covers. Paginated by section. Approximately 200 pages total. Undated, but these news references were issued to news organizations and other interested parties in the mid to late sixties. Measures approximately 8.5" x 11". This item provides a wealth of information about the Lunar Module. Profusely illustrated with diagrams of system assemblies and cutaway views of the spacecraft. T are brief descriptions of the overall mission and the CSM, but the bulk of space is devoted to a description of all of the major systems and sub-systems in the LM. These include: Environmental Control Controls and Displays Guidance, Navigation and Control Main Propulsion Reaction Controls Electrical Power Communications Instrumentation Lighting Condition is very good with no tears and only minor corner creases. Very clean. T is some marking to the cover, as seen in the picture, but no significant soiling. Inside is clean throughout. T is some sunning at the spine and top edge and two very small dents in the cover. Binding is solid with no missing or loose pages.
