CREW: Collins, Armstrong and Aldrin Conditon: It is in super shape. See Pictures. The bronze medal is 2 3/4 inches in diameter and 5.5 ounces in weight. MEDALLIC ART CO. N.Y. written on the edge of the medal. This is a beautiful Apollo XI lunar landing commemorative medal. The coin was designed by the amazing artist Karen Worth. On the front of the coin are the three astronauts that landed on the moon, Armstrong, Collins and Aldrin. On the back it has a bust of President Kennedy with quote about we will reach the moon in a decade. It is from the Medallic Art Co. This wonderful medal and would make a terrific addition to any space collection. ABOUT THE ARTIST: Karen Worth studied at the Tyler Art School and the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. She studied with Paul Manship and Carl Schmitz. During World War II she worked at the defense plant at the Philadelphia Navy Yard, at 20 she enlisted in the Army Air Force and served as a specialist instructor - physical therapy and mental rehabilitation.
