Here is a Die Cast Model of the Apollo XI Lunar Module. It is from the Franklin Mint and made to Commemorate the 25 Anniversary of the First Lunar Landing.
It has a direction sheet and a signed certificate of Authenticity that says: "This is to certify that The Apollo XI Lunar Module is a precision-engineered,1:48 scale die-cast replica of the first manned vehicle to land on the moon. It is also certified that this model us assembled by hand from over 100 separate components,hand finished and hand polished and set in a display base enhanced with a sterling silver commemorative medallion. It is further certified that the Apollo XI Lunar Module is available exclusively from Franklin Mint Precision Models."
I got this from the estate of a Retired Teacher. It was stored wrapped and padded but unfortunately not good enough.
There are some pieces that were loose in the carton and I assume broken off the Module.
I do not know if anything else is missing but I took pictures from four sides so you can see the condition for yourselves.
If not for the broken pieces, it looks just great.
I do not have the original box or anything not shown in the pictures.
If you have seen these for sale or auction before, you know what the price can be. I have no use for this and if you want to repair it or just enjoy it, feel free to bid.
