FROM 1936 THIS UNITED AIRLINES TIMETABLE IS IN ALMOST MINT CONDITION. The first photo shows the front and rear covers of this 72 year old timetable, featuring the Boeing 247, considered the first modern commercial aircraft. Preceeding the DC-3, the Boeing 247 was put into service February 1933. (Information is from the best book on early commercial aviation..."AIRLINES OF THE UNITED STATES SINCE 1914" by R. E. G. Davies) "OVERNIGHT Coast-To-Coast" was quite an achievement in 1933. The 247 first carried only 10 passengers. Twin engined with a modern design to reduce operating costs. The second photo shows pages one and two, supplying us with "FACTS ABOUT UNITED". Then comes the United systems map showing the "Main Line" through the center of the U. S.United's connection to the National Parks is pictured in the fourth photo, followed by a page of departures, arrivals and flight costs. This timetable shows some slight wear, only at the top of the folds and a small mark above the date on the front cover. This timetable has 22 folds or pages. The winner will pay listed shipping and appropriate insurance. DG
