For many centuries, boats that sailed on the Indian Oceanwere called dhows.
Note: Despite their historical attachment to Arab traders, dhowsare essentially an Indian boat, with much of the wood for their construction coming from the forests of India. More information is available on the Nabataea Maritime web site /ships.html This is a beautiful Arab Dhow. I am selling this ship for a dear friend who's husband had it commissioned by an Arabian shipbuilder in Abu Dabi, Dubai during a stay in the 1960's. It was meticulously detailed using authentic woods of the region. Every item was precisely designed and executed. This is a one of a kind model of museum quality. Details: Approximately 72" long X 36" high X 18" wide. This ship is truly a work of art. A masterpiece. It could be handed down to your children and grandchildren for generations to come. Please note that this is a very special item. My cabinet maker will fabricate a very nice shipping container and use high quality packaging to insure t is no damage done during shipping. This is a quality item. Please check my feed back and bid wi th confidence. I need to correct some errors in the listing.
