For many centuries, boats that sailed on the Indian Oceanwere called dhows.
Note: Despite their historical attachment to Arab traders, dhowsare essentially an Indian boat, with much of the wood for their construction coming from the forests of India.

This is a beautiful Arab Dhow. I am selling this ship for a dear friend who's husband had it commissioned by an Arabian shipbuilder in Abu Dabi, Dubai during a stay in the 1960's. It was meticulously detailed using authentic woods of the region. Every item was precisely designed and executed. This is a one of a kind model of museum quality. Details: Approximately 72" long X 36" high X 18" wide. This ship is truly a work of art. A masterpiece. It could be handed down to your children and grandchildren for generations to come.
Please note that this is a very special item.
My cabinet maker will fabricate a very nice shipping container and use high quality packaging to insure t is no damage done during shipping.

I need to correct some errors in the listing.
The ship's actual length is 62 inches by 36 inches high by 19 inches wide.
It weighs about 30 lbs plus I figure about 70 lbs for the crate.
So total shipping weight will be approx 100 lbs.
The ship is a little dusty but that is being cleaned up as the auction runs.
