An 80+ year lady is having me list some of her possessions along with that of her Mother who was born + - 1900. The home is smoke free. She has many lovely pieces which will be listing over the next few weeks. This Arabia Finland Christmas series plate #26 was purchased in Finland late 1980's. The artist is ANDREAS ALARIESTO . There is no date on the plate or box. It appears to be an elf or little man sweeping the walkway. It measures 4 1/2" across. No damage. Box shown and info papers, which also shows additional plates available. email questions or help adding information since I am not an authority on this. Quick Shipping. Thank you! Andreas Alariesto was born in 1900 in Sodankylä and his life came to and in 1989. His legacy consists of drawings, paintings, photos, songs and even sculptures. The exotic flavour expressed in his paintings is depicting what he himself experienced and childhood stories delivered by the old. Sunday, it was brought to my attention that this is not a Alariesto plate. Apparently the box and plate do not belong together. The plate has Arabic and Finland on it. The box and papers go to another plate. I will attempt to contact the owner and she what she recalls. and see if she has another plate or box. Do not bid unless you are happy over the plate shown.
