This very interesting piece is a serving bowl that measures approximately 12 1/8" X approximately 9". My efforts to find out more information on the bowl were unsuccessful and I did not see anything comparable. The design on the bowl shows a castle-like structure, trees, cows and, rocks. The picture is surrounded by a flower and leaf design. The actual bowl structure is not a perfect oval as you can notice from the picture. T is some very slight fading in small parts if you examine closely but the picture is quite striking. The bottom of the bowl shows a green stamp that has what looks to be a short block lettered W (possibly supposed to be a crown) followed by the words "ARABIA MADE IN FINLAND 10". Another interesting feature is the "A. S. 2" in characters approximately 3/4" tall that are a physical part of the piece. This designation seems to be from the makemanship of the bowl but I am not sure. T seems to be transfer on the bottom in approximately the same color. Structurally the bowl is in functional condition but this may be more of a showpiece. T are a few dimples on the underside of the bowl (which may be from craftsmanship). The only other possible issue that I see are 2 hairlines in the footing on the bottom of the bowl approximately 1/4" and 5/16". Any additional information that someone more knowledgeable may be able to provide about this piece would be appreciated. I try to make my listings as complete as possible but I am not an expert in any sense of the word about fine china. I can make no claims as to whether or not the piece has always been in a smoke free home. My untrained eye would not know the difference.
