Up for auction is a model tour bus sponsored by Greyhound and GMC which was sold at the 1933 Century of Progress world's fair in Chicago. The name of the manufacturer (Arcade) along with what appear to be 32L, 322 and 1.8 are stamped inside the cab.The model is made of heavy die-cast iron. The cab and body connected together weigh about 19 oz. and measure 10 1/4" long by 1 1/2" wide and 1 1/2" tall. The bus is in excellent shape, especially for being over 80 years old. The model was a gift to my father from his parents at the Century of Progress. He played with the bus as a child and it's been in storage ever since. The paint job of medium blue and cream is original with only relatively mild wear and tear. The white rubber wheels are in good shape with only minor cracking and chipping. on this piece of history from the Chicago 1933 Century of Progress; the pictures show it all!
