This auction is for an antique Imperial One Pound Coffee Mill No. 999, Patented 1894, made by the Arcade Manufacturing Co., Freeport, IL. It retains its original label, which had darkened with age but is still legible in certain light. T is an adjustment knob and wing-nut on top that allows you to adjust the grind from coarse to fine. The grinder and crank are cast iron, the knob on the crank is wood, and it has a cast iron handle on the side. The body is made of oak and has rounded dove tail joined corners. The small drawer, for catching the ground coffee, is dove tailed as well. The grinder measures 12" to the top of the handle, and is 7" square.It is in perfect condition consistent with age and use. It was found in an estate in Northern Vermont.
