"Archaic Creations" birdhouses are the blend of recycled, patinized wood and metals creating a natural attraction to birds as well as people. Each bird dwelling is a one-of-a-kind artistic creation designed to capture your imagination. Characterized by their rustic material, superior craftsmanship, and artistic detail, they offer a unique display that will add an attractive accent to any yard, garden, patio, or home decor. This bird dwelling is handcrafted by a Kalamazoo, Michigan artisan using only recycled material. Possessing the qualities that already exist in nature, this home is very appealing to our featd friends. Special care in the construction and design of the dwellings make them able to be enjoyed season after season with little or no maintenance. For end of the season cleaning, simply remove the four accessible screws on the bottom of the dwelling. This feature allows you too easily remove old nesting material without compromising the integrity of the structure with the use of hinges. Truly A Work Of Art! This Archaic Creations bird dwelling was created using wood from a piano dating back to the early 1900's. A 34" rustic chain with a spring clip allows you to easily hang this home to create a functional and decorative accent to any tree, patio, yard, or garden. This entire home is encircled by a rustic plow tip. A rusty bed spring provides unusual ornamentation to the front of the home. A separate piece of the spring was reshaped to surround the entrance as a squirrel and woodpecker deterrent (and offer a unique landing surface). An aged electrical covering above the hole is used as a rain deflector. Two pieces of driftwood on the right side of the home provide additional landing surfaces for your featd friends. The trim on the front corners is an old weatd rolling pin rip cut in half. On the rear of the home an old gate latch can be seen. Approximate overall dimension are 13"h x 14"w x 6"d. This home has been stained with Artisan "Gilligan's" special technique giving it a unique speckled and clouded finish. Two coats of rustoloeum clear top coat exterior finish was then applied for added protection. Each bird dwelling comes with the "Archaic Creations" brand, artisan initials and individual creation number. This house was Superman approved! " Gilligan" captured his fly by inspection in photo #4 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
