EXCEPTIONAL Cast Iron HEAVY & BEAUTIFUL! Very Edwardian..think Beatrix Potter...Romantic. Beautiful Antique Industrial style drafting table/ Painters / Drawing Easel by ... A. Hoffman Co. They were located in Rochester, N.Y. on Meigs St. ( Moved to Water Street by the 1920's ) "Peerless" on the leg as in photo "PATd APR 26/ DEC 20 1910" on the head of stand. Fully adjustable in height & angle or both together. Fully articulating and therefore can be tilted to any angle and revolved to any position. Features a tripod base that is fully collapsible / adjustable. 28.5"H at the lowest 43" H fully extended. Cast iron "exaggerated" hand screws that work perfectly, easily adjustable. Overall great condition! Finish is all original- Japanned as some call it - some slight loses to paint. No rust. Nice added touch - cork pads / inserts on feet as pictured. No breaks, cracks, chips or repairs. Just a lovely piece. We have the wooden drawing board/painting easel that came with as seen ( this easel came from the Estate of a Whiskey Painters of America - WPA listed artist ).
