Archive Miniatures 622 AMAZON MOUNTED SKIRMISHERS x2 Here we have a Archive Miniatures AMAZON MOUNTED SKIRMISHER x2, a pack of very early miniatures for fantasy role-playing games like D&D, AD&D, Runequest, and Arduin. The miniature is packaged in the earliest form of Archive's packaging, a simple ziplock baggie with a green printed insert inside -- things were sure different back in the 1970's! For those who want to know more about these, Archive Miniatures was a miniature company that produced fantasy, science-fiction, and historical miniatures in the late 70's and early 80's. Most of their early miniatures were sculpted by Nevile Stocken, and some of the later miniatures were sculpted by Steve Lortz. Archive Miniatures were on the large-end for 25mm miniatures, and many Archive characters and monsters still compare well in size with miniatures of today (Reaper, Games Workshop, etc). Archive was one of the first companies producing fantasy miniatures in the entire gaming hobby, and though the figures may be a little rough by modern sculpting standards, the creativity, humor, and obvious enthusiasm for the subject matter really shines through.
