Aretino Machine in excellent condition, including the decal. One rarely finds one with such a fine and intact decal. This still has the original paperwork (parts list and record brochures) and includes a tin (not original needle tin) and a small round wooden box full of needles (don't know if they've been used or not) and 46 albums. The albums are in fair condition. There are some scratches on the ones I looked at but they look like they are useable. They are dirty. Most have brown paper folded over them but some are completely unprotected. I did not check all of the records so I am basing my description on the top few unwrapped records. The diaphragm gaskets are hardened and cracked so they will need to be replaced. This still works and does produce sound but since the diaphragm needs new gaskets sound quality is lacking. I believe that this is all original as there is normal checking in the finish on the cabinet and the few chips on the horn do not show multiple layers of paint. If you would like to see additional detail pictures go to /aretino.html Schroeder's books this at $750 making this a real sweet deal with many extras. This is quite a find for the old phonograph enthusiast!
