This handmade pipe is a cork pipe from the well known and inventive Italian,Tom Spanu, who has been carving pipes for over 30 years..The pipe is not really cork but briar covered perfectly in cork..I do not believe that any carver then Tom Spanu has developed this techinque..This pipe is hugh and you can get at least two hours of a great smoke from it..The rim has no rim dents but is hand shaved and as you can see in the picture..The pipe fits the hand very comfortably and has a great soft feel..This style pipe sells for over $150.00 when purchased unsmoked..The markings are simply TomSpanu,carved in the briar stem end,which is normal and his logo.. .

The tobacco chamber measures 2 1/8" deep and 1" across..The outside of the pipe has not been measured and all measurements are aprx..This is a hugh pipe..I have cleanned and polished the stem inside and out for your comfort and so you are able to smoke the pipe immediatly on arrival.. The lucite stem is not orginial and has several small heat bubbles on the top side just beyone the bite area,this is from slight overheating of the lucite to bend it..I has smoked this pipe once or twice,just because I had never smoked a Spanu pipe..It gave a great cool smoke but the pipe is just too hugh for me..It was not heavy in the mouth for the hugh size..The push in lucite stem fits the shank good..
