This is a silvered bronze plaquette that was struck to commemorate the 80th birthday of Jose E. Uriburu in 1911. J. E. Uriburu was an Argentine politician in the early days of the Republic. His son took over the country by military means in the 1930s. The plaque is about two inches long with a few allegorical figures and Uriburu's profile. The medal is essentially unworn, but t is very minor loss of silvering at the highest points of the design. T is no damage nor evidence of cleaning. This is an attractive little medal.
