Aria Matsumoku Jazz Bass Pro II – Professional - 1976 Before 1987 of course when the Matsumoku factory closed downAria were making some of the worlds best Bass Guitars and this is one of them. It stands up against the best made even today from anywhere and is a true pro standard instrument. Manufactured in 1976 and clearly identified as a Matsumoku guitar on the neck plate . A True Vintage bass of the highest quality. This is a rare model and a bit special . It does have a few small marks on the body but nothing too serious and some chrome lift on the controls plate which can be replaced if it bothers but it is real vintage 36 year old bass after all . There are a couple of vacant wax filled screw holes as well where there was once a bridge guard and which are always removed . The body is solid sen ash I believe and the neck is stunning in every respect with some birds eyeing on the perfect back and beautifully inlaid MOP block markers on the front . No fret wear – Straight as an arrow and low and super smooth . It is in short one of the nicest Jazz necks I have come across . It is playing well and produces a true set of Jazz bass sounds from fat and mellow to Slap and of course will handle any genre with ease – It’s a beauty – The advantage also of a vintage bass is not only the material used in those days but it will probably read more
