ARKHAM BOOKS THE BEST PLACE THIS SIDE OF CARCOSA FOR Arkham House EDIFICATION! Arkham House "THE TRAIL OF CTHULHU" by August Derleth, First Edition, 1962, Limited Edition (2470 copies) SCARCE and DESIRABLE (Great Condition!) H.P. Lovecraft Inspired BOOK: Truly a magnificent book by Arkham House, Sauk City, Wisconsin. 200 pages, original price $4.00 (price is NOT clipped). Limited Edition (2470 copies) hardback with dust jacket. Cover art by Richard Taylor (typical fantastically weird cover art by this great Arkham artist!). CONDITION: Superior grade condition (especially jacket). Book is a Fine in a Near Fine PLUS PLUS jacket. Book is bright, tight (very tight), and square. Appears to have never been read or cracked. Some minimal shelf wear and perhaps a wee touch of rubbing to those Arkham Finger-Oil-Attracting Black Novelex boards. Paper is white with just a wee touch of yellowing due to age (as is common). Minimal corner bumps. Nit picking this, really is nice condition. Jacket is beautiful. This front panel just pops 9and not because of Richard Taylor's art). It has almost perfect reflectivity. Touch of shelf wear, mostly minimal rubs at lower right hand corner with front flap. Spine is beautiful, nice crisp edges, no apparent toning. Back panel is what is keeping it from full FINE. There is some dusting at edge, and all-white back panel is a bit dusting/yellowing. Also a black scuff at the top edge. Edges are still nice, and no apparent shelf wear. Flaps are nice, but lightly yellowed at offset to textblock. Edges with panels on flaps are also nice, again, just minimal shelf wear. Very sharp, collectible copy. Nicest this bookseller has seen.
