This is an ORIGINAL (4) panel panoramic Photograph shot from east hillside of the town Arlington, Oregon. The image sweeps from a block above the intersection of, the then unpaved roads, Locust Street and Main Street and runs down to the Columbia River. It is a bird's eye view of the entire town in 1903. Very sharp with too much detail to describe here. We see the original 1880s Church of the Nazarene on left with a steam tractor and wagon in tow across Main St. Great old buildings long gone today. We can read signs: Dry Goods, Groceries, Hardware, John P. Ro..., etal. Who would believe that this is the birthplace of "Doc" Severensen (1927), the NBC Band Leader on Johnny Carson "The Tonight Show". Also the Mayor who was recalled for putting racy pics on her MySpace page in 2005. Fascinating panoramic time capsule image with much historical background Some minor stains, small cracks on lower edge of photograph, one pencil 1" curved line in center right, all of which are not detracting for a 116 year old photograph. Original old wavy glass, mat and frame, New dust cover and wire w/ acid free interior backing. Dimensions: Frame 35"x10", Image 28"x5" - Ship USA $22.50 - SATISFACTION GUARANTEED - Thank You
