Large walnut Chippendale open arm chair, 18th C, possibly Philadelphia PA origin, center shell carved crest with scroll carved ears, nicely shaped urn splat with figured veneer, nicely shaped curved and carved knuckle arms, molded edge seat frame with shell in center, shell carved knee ending on a talon claw and ball foot, with an upholstered seat, 42''H x 23 1/2''W x 18 1/2''D, good condition, old refinish. From a Litchfield Connecticut estate.
