Music Box-Piano are both made of wood with a green velvet cover matching her eyes.

Music plays when crank is wound, but the gears are not lined up so the teeth don't make contact and consequently the doll Does Not move when you wind crank and music plays.

It must be realigned (when the doll stage is placed on top of the music box the two gears don't line up to crank each other which moves the hand of the doll to appear as she is playing the piano)and we are not mechanically capable ot this repair.

The doll moves left and right arm when the rod is turned by hand.

She is a rare find, and would be an excellent addition to any collection, especially repaired.

We obtained her from a dealer who found her in an attic at an estate sale. The Doll is attached to the Piano bench, her legs are bent and can be moved, her arms also can be moved to her lap or the keyboard.

Value Points: rarity factors on the beautiful early model include brown hair, exceptionally fine quality of bisque, bright green googly glass eyes, and original costume.

PHOTO'S BELOW

DOLL LEFT HAND MISSING THREE FINGER TIPS AS SHOWN IN PHOTO ABOVE .

AS YOU CAN SEE IN THE ABOVE PHOTO, T IS A BLACK CIRCLE MARK WITH A HOLE IN IT'S CENTER NEXT TO THE BLACK GEAR WHICH TURNS WHEN THE MUSIC PLAYS.

THE DOLL ROD THAT ALLOWS HER TO MOVE FITS IN THAT HOLE SHOWN ABOVE

AND THE GEAR THAT IS ATTACHED TO IT WOULD COVER THE CIRCLE SHOWN IN THE PICTURE. IF YOU LOOK CLOSELY YOU CAN TELL THAT WHEN IN POSITION THE TWO GEARS CAN'T MAKE CONTACT BECAUSE OF THE SMALL GAP BETWEEN THEM, SINCE THE TEETH ON THE GEARS DO NOT MAKE CONTACT, WHEN THE MUSIC PLAYS THE ONE GEAR TURNS AND THE ONE CONNECTED TO THE DOLL DOES NOT TURN. THE GEAR NEEDS TO BE RESET TO MAKE CONTACT WITH THE MUSIC GEAR.

MUSIC BOX WORKS WHEN WOUND.
