Offering this beautiful 24 inch tall Armand Marseille Floradora doll, lovely bisque porcelain face, set in glass brown eyes, open mouth with teeth. Arms from about elbow down are bisque. Body, upper arms, and legs to jointed knees are stuffed kidskin leather. Legs from knees down are cloth. Bears the Floradora label on front chest. Also bears Armand Marseille Floradora A 5 M mark on back shoulder plate. Dressed in white pantaloons with attached white knit stockings. A pretty white under slip, and a beautiful deep rich green silk velvet dress with antique lace adornment. Black patent mary jane shoes. Condition on doll - bisque head is very good, no cracks or chips; coloring is still fresh, eyes are secure, original fur eyebrows have lost most of their fur, still a few strands left. Brown curl wig is a replacement but fits very well. Light wear on kidskin body; one kidskin patch on right arm where it joins the bisque; right knee socket has a taped repair where wire holder came loose from kidskin. The muslin legs are original but fragile, there are three patches one at knee where it joins the kidskin, one on back of foot, and one on side of foot on left leg. These have what looks to be double sided tape with muslin over them. The legs could be replaced if desired - I have left them original as some collectors prefer this. The stockings protect these mended areas and they do not show as far as viewing; we have additional photos available we can email to you. Armand Marseille was one of the largest suppliers of bisque doll heads circa 1900-1930.A very beautiful doll that would compliment any room, a very lovely dress especially with the antique lace!
