PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS A TRUE NO-RESERVE AUCTION WITH AN OPENING BID OF JUST $49.99!!! This auction is for an Armenia, Levon I (1198-1219), silver double tram. The obverse features Levon I enthroned, holding a cross and a fleur-de-lis. The reverse depicts a lion standing in front of a cross. Baron Levon II was crowned as King Levon I, and received two crowns, one from Henry VI of the Holy Roman Empire, and the second from Alexius III of the Byzantine Empire. He was a skillful diplomat, maintaining good relations with the papacy and establishing alliances with neighboring rulers. He was often referred to as "the Great" or "the Magnificent" because of his many achievements, not the least of which was walking the tightrope between the two superpowers who had his kingdom surrounded. This double tram is much scarcer than the single tram denomination. This Scarce silver coin is guaranteed genuine with a weight of 5.4 grams and an approximate diameter of 27mm. I would personally grade it as being in Extremely Fine condition, for the type. Of course, grading is subjective, so please look at the pictures carefully, since the coin photographed is the exact coin you will receive. I am offering this interesting silver piece at a starting price of just $49.99 (a fraction of what I paid for it years ago). There is no reserve, and it will go for whatever the bidding determines. Terms and Payment: I accept PayPal only. Within the United States, the coin will ship by First-Class Mail with Insurance & Delivery Confirmation through the U.S. Postal Service. Shipping charges are $5.95 for the first item and $1.00 for each additional item. Please check out my other offers, since I am happy to combine shipping charges on any auctions which are won within any 24 hour time frame. California residents will be charged 9% sales tax. We charge $15 for shipping worldwide by Registered First-Class Mail. Please do not ask us to lie on the description or valuation of the coin on customs declarations or invoices, because this is illegal, and we don't do it. We no longer ship to Italy, due to the extremely long (multi-month) delays in getting shipments processed through the Italian Customs bureaucracy.
