From The Franklin Mint Armour Collection, this is a 1:48 scale model of the F-86 California Boomerang. This amazing die-cast replica has a wingspan of approx. 9 1/2 inches. Franklin Mint Armour number B11E754. The North American F-86 Sabre (sometimes called the Sabrejet) was a transonic combat aircraft developed for the US Air Force. Through out the duration of the Korean War, the F-86 Sabre made itself a place in the warplane hall of fame. The Sabre reached this standard of excellence due mainly to the high percentage of enemy planes shot down. The Franklin Mint Armour collection contains some of the finest detailed military and civilian scale model aircraft. They come completely assembled and ready to display!
