Armstrong Siddeley Sapphire 346 Mk2 1955 Project (MOT & Tax Exempt) This is a twin-carburettor model with 150bhp, it has a 4-speed manual gearbox with a column change. Black over silver two-tone paint, and a red leather interior. It looks like it was restored some time in the 80s or 90s, which would tie in with the registration date. I have owned this car since 2007. I took it off the road to restore in 2008, when we moved house. However, I've realised that I simply don't have the free time needed to complete it. Mechanically it worked well when I took it off the road, the engine started well, had good power and didn't make smoke. The gearbox changed correctly, and the brakes were very good. The electrics all worked, barring the radio. We started the car up early in the year - using a fuel can linked to the pump - not sure what's in the tank. I have done quite a bit of work on the interior; the leather seats were recoloured and restored, as were the door cards, I've made a new headlining (but not installed it) and there is some spare material, and the wood has been revarnished. The instruments were all working, but the 2-part valve radio wasn't, it hums when switched on. I made new carpets too, and there is some left-over for trimming.
