This is an original WWII issue Army Air Forces Pilot's navigation case. It is in good condition. Front is boldly marked in gold lettering, "PILOT'S NAVIGATION KIT, AIR FORCES UNITED STATES ARMY". Constructed of pebbled brown leather, heavy duty brass zipper is in excellent working condition. Case measures 17" x 13" x 3". This was the type issued to Fighter Pilots and was a compact kit. Heavy Bomber and Multi Engine Navigator's were issued the large double strap A-4 type. Compartments inside for carrying gear. Get this and use it for your next escort mission to Berlin.
