M1951 Parka Original M1951 "fishtail" parka, features as follows: Shell: OD green nylon/cotton blend poplin construction with attached outer hood and shoulder epaulettes, two large front pockets with snap flaps and wool lining, and draw strings at waist and skirt. Heavy duty brass CONMAR zipper works smoothly. Mfg by A.C. CLOTHING CO. INC. and dated 11 January 1952. Never been laundered and appears to have never been worn. Hood: OD green nylon/cotton blend poplin outer shell with blanket wool lining and adjustable wire rim with real wolf fur trim. Mfg by HUDSON GARMENT CO. INC. and dated 16 April 1953. Like the shell, appears to have seen little if any use with no damage to fur trim or wire rim. Liner: White wool frieze construction with tan nylon outer covering. Size Medium with partial instruction label and dated 1956. No holes, fraying, repairs or other damage and like the shell and hood appears to have seen little if any use. By far the best M1951 parka I've had in a very long time--no way to improve on this one. Outstanding piece for any Korean War-era uniform collection, or wearable military style with a vintage flair, just in time for these cold winter days and in excellent condition. Any questions please feel free to ask.
