USGI ARMY SDS MICH ACH KEVLAR HELMET GEN II size Medium PLEASE NOTE: GEN II HELMETS ARE IMPACTRATED HIGHER THAN THE OLDER GEN I HELMETS Up for auction is a GEN II USGI Kevlar ACH Helmet. Made by SDS The Advanced Combat Helmet (ACH) is based on the latest performance requirements of the U.S. Army for ballistics, impact, retention and other protective upgrades. ( Reference Contract: W911QY-06-D-0006).The helmet is lighter than the previous PASGT infantry helmet and includes a pre-drilled Night Vision Goggle Bracket hole. The shell trim eliminates the beak, and it has a higher side trim than the PASGT. The helmet also includes an improved 4-Point Retention and Pad Suspension System. The pad suspension kit supplied with each helmet consists of 1 crown pad , 4 lateral pads and 2 front and rear pads. The pads are 3/4-inch thick and are water resistant. The retention attaches at 4 Points to the shell with ballistic resistant hardware. Adjustment slides are located both in the front and rear of the retention, allowing adjustment for proper fit and stability. Maximum helmet weight in ounces (.oz) is: Small - 47 oz., Medium - 49 oz., Large - 52 oz. and X-Large - 62 oz. The ACH is a helmet system that provides ballistic and impact protection. This system is compatible with the current night vision devices (NVDs), communications packages, and Nuclear, Biologicaland Chemical (NBC) defense equipment and body armor. The ACH provides ballistic protection within the full spectrum of operational environments. The ACH allows maximum sensory and situational awareness for the operator. This includes an unobstructed field of view and increased ambient hearing capabilities. The ACH's chin strap retention systems and pad suspension system provide unsurpassed balance, stability and comfort. The systems provide for proper size, fit and ventilation. An armor nape pad is alsoavailabge, which provides protection against fragments from groundlevel threats and adds stablility. The ACH’s pad suspension system provides impact protection throughout all operational scenarios, including static-line airborne operations.This work package provides descriptions and data of the MSA, SDS & Gentex Advanced Combat Helmets. This helmet is lighter and a newer improved version than the current MICH ACH helmet that you see on E-Bay. Helmet shape is designed for maximum protection while reducing weight, improving hearing and improving vision. This Warrior helmet includes a four point chin strap , padding suspension and ACU Camoflague Cover . As i said this is the newest model Military Issue ACH Helmet.
