The old US Army bullet shaped canteens proved to be too noisy for Vietnam's guerilla war. They could only be carried silently if completely full or completely empty. A new 2 quart jungle canteen was developed which was collapsible and silent at any fill level. It was carried in a specially designed nylon pouch which could be affixed to the pistol belt. This US Army Vietnam 2 quart jungle collapsible canteen cover is in excellent condition and is dated 1966 (DSA-100). It features a small velcro closed small outside pocket for water purification tables and is a great relic of "Uncle Sam in Vietnam". Bid with confidence and please view our other great military and aviation classics, including an original US Army Vietnam Special Forces Tropical Rucksack in excellent condition, dated 1968, and complete with original X-frame.
