This is an excellent condition, World War One US Army Model 1912 pistol belt, with saber (sword) loop or ring. These belts are much rarer than the non sword belts, being intended primarily for issue to officers, who back in the WW1 era, were still expected to at least have the ability to carry a sword into combat. This belt has seen light use, but remains in overall excellent condition. The saber loop is strong and has most of the finish. the tan belt material has few if any fray spots, see pictures. There is a vintage soldiers name and address (Columbus, Ohio) neatly printed in ink on the inside of the belt. I believe this belt was made by Plant Brothers Company, one of the US contractors for M1912 belts. there are no markings, however the belt has the two plain sliding retainer bands, as used by Plant Brothers. These officers belts are getting hard to find in good shape, do not miss out. This would make a fantastic display with a Colt M1911 pistol and holster. Buyer to pay $6.00 shipping, US bids only, no out of USA shipping.
