You are purchasing this Complete Lobby Card Set for Aroused! "A blast of desire!" Aroused (1966) Starring - Janine Lenan and Steve Hollister, This is a complete set of 4 Lobby Cards. Note that materials for this film are very scarce and you will likely not see another set like this again. It was common for low budget movies to do a small printing of promotion materials, as noted by the Black & White images and also due to the limited 4 lobby card set. This set was probably the same single set that traveled from city to city with the film reels and was used for promotion in the Grindhouse theaters. It is entirely possible this is the only set of Lobby Cards for Aroused known to exist. Measures - 11x14" Overall Condition: Very Good - There is definite signs of wear and slight creasing and scuffs scattered through-out these lobby cards (see photos). Lobby Card 101 Lobby cards are no longer used in theaters and are rarely printed for today's films. These small posters on card stock (usually 11" x 14" in a horizontal format) were generally produced in sets of eight, intended for display in a theater's foyer or lobby. A lobby set typically consists of one Title Card, a lobby card of special design usually depicting all key stars, listing credits and intended to represent the entire film rather than a single scene; and seven Scene Cards, each depicting a scene from the movie. (Source: ) Important to note that not all movies had a big budget for advertising and promotion. John Carpenter's 'Halloween' for example could only afford a limited run of 8 Black & White Lobby Cards. Often times, a low budget film might only be able to afford only 4 Lobby Cards or even 6. For some of those same grindhouse movies, a single set of Lobby Cards were printed, and would travel from city to city with the actual film. But, it was the multi-plex movie theaters that made Lobby Cards obsolete, as there was no room left in the lobbies to display Lobby Cards. In recent years, Lobby Cards have become quite desirable for collectors of movie paper. This is due to availability, condition and pricing. Example - Depending on condition, an original 1-Sheet movie poster for John Carpenter's 'Halloween' could cost as much as $1,200.00. Where as an original lobby card for John Carpenter's 'Halloween' could go for as low as $25.00 to $40.00. These can still be matted and framed nicely to be displayed. Lobby Cards are considered to be good investments by collectors as they generally hold their value and continue to go up in value with time.
