CHECK OUT MY STORE Offered is a DANDY SQUARE AXE...This 3/4 grooved beauty is from St. Clair County, ILL and is an oustanding addition to any collection. This is a goody of keeper quality! The axe is about 5-3/4 inches long, 4 inches wide, and 1-3/4 inches thick. It stands up well, making it a good display piece. The material appears to be either a very dense basalt or possible a very dense greenstone -- it is difficult for me to tell. Either way it has a very attractive quartz line running through the material and super deposits. The axe is flattened on either end and will stand up on either end. This is a desirable trait and most axes do not have this ability...This one has all the symmetry you can ask for.We stand behind what we sell are are proud members of the Genuine Indian Relics Society (GIRS), Central State Archeological Society (TN), AACA, and Arrowpack.
